Eramosa Karst-Stoney Creek
Looking for an exciting natural adventure? Venture through the Eramosa Karst; filled with underground caves and streams, meadows and forests! The trails are very easy for younger kids and mainly flat through out. As one of the watershed’s most unique natural gems, it’s the perfect location for hiking, nature appreciation and education. Parking is only $8. They have washrooms in the parking lot only.
Limehouse - Credit Valley
The Limehouse Conservation Area is truly a hidden gem!
As we walked by the remnants of the lime industry, we felt like we were experiencing the past. The area provided a new and unique experience, allowing us to wonder through the maze of stone structures and history. This is likely the finest free hiking destination in and around the Halton Hills area. We went on this nature walk when our children were quite young and they had no problem navigating the terrain.
Boyd- Vaughan
Boyd Conservation Park is one of our family favourites as it offers a truly unique opportunity to enjoy nature in the heart of the city. As one of the GTA's premier summer picnic destinations, its perfect for families and large groups looking to spend time outdoors in a beautiful setting. In addition Boys offers washroom facilities for visitors.
Belfountain
Belfountain is a fantastic conservation area that offers hiking trails suitable for all levels of experience. The rushing waterfall which can be viewed from the bridge is a particularly impressive sight and makes for a great photo opportunity. While on the bridge you get a sense of the raw power of the flowing water. The park is ideal for people of all ages but be aware its not all flat surfaces. There is a nice mix of sunny and shaded areas and plenty of trees to provide a lovely natural ambiance. There is a fair amount of parking but on weekends you may find yourself hunting for a spot.
Byng Island

Open to the public from mid-June, remember to purchase your tickets in advance for an unforgettable experience.
