Lake Wilcox Park offers various outdoor recreational experiences for your entire family. Enjoy a day on the water kayaking, canoeing, fishing or windsurfing. If you prefer to spend your time on land, the park is an excellent place for your kids to enjoy. Plan a picnic, play at the skatepark or cool off in the splash pad. Three parking lots with various prices...it is strictly enforced. Flush toilets are near the park and splash pad (the water is quite warm). In the summer there is usually an ice cream truck.
Mackenzie Glen District Park is an outdoor park located in Maple, just a short drive north of Toronto. The park offers different play & picnic spaces along with walking trails, a soccer field, a large splash pad for kids, and a great play structure on a rubber floor. Parking is free, lots of shade and they have flush toilets. Con: the water seems quite cold here
The design of this park as well as the playground stand out from other parks. A wooden climbing structure, a small outdoor trampoline, unique slides, and a cool splash pad with water tables and more. There is lots of seating, including shaded tables. There are also open grassy areas, a small outdoor fitness area, and ping pong tables. It is attached to a Community Centre that has washrooms and a snack bar! Parking is Free!
Splash Island is included with your zoo admission! I suggest pack a picnic and make the zoo a day trip with splash pad fun! This splash pad is spread over two acres so its quite large and lots of space to spread out. I do suggest kids wear water shoes as some climbing equipment can get slippery (bare feet and flip flops will be too slippery) I like that there are washrooms and change rooms. There are staff manning the two taller tube slides to ensure kids are properly spaced out for safety, and that there are lockers on site (bring your own change).
You can navigate the entire area to stay within eyesight without getting too wet!
